Dallas, TX – July 18, 2016. The Texas Packaging Store Association held their convention at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Dallas on Sunday, July 17, 2016. BuzzBallz were as colorful as ever and drew a big crowd to sample their pre-mixed, ready-to-drink cocktails. Packaging stores and distributors alike were excited by the design, the whopping 20% alcohol by volume and the great taste.
The Southern Champion line of spirits attracted a crowd as consumers tasted XIII Kings Vodka, Andrew John’s Gin, Crooked Fox Blended Bourbon Whiskey, Pelican Harbor Rum, and Pelican Harbor Black Rum. Another exciting attraction was the introduction of the white blend wine, Closet Freak. Attendees were visibly excited by the diverse, but creative design and labeling of the new products, but that paled in comparison to the reviews received on taste and flavor.
BuzzBallz are currently sold in 38 states and are constantly expanding since their debut in 2009. Southern Champion launched their liquor line of five in April, and the products hit the market in May. As of July, Southern Champion spirits are currently being distributed in 5 states: Texas, Montana, West Virginia, Michigan, and California with more states to be added in August. Closet Freak wine was bottled several weeks before the event and hit the ground running with distribution in California.
The convention was buzzing with activity as numerous beer, wine, and spirits were in attendance to show their best to Texas distributors and store owners. Enthusiasts came from all over the great state of Texas to sample the best, and we are proud to say BuzzBallz, Southern Champion, and Closet Freak were confirmed to be among the best. As a small company that began just a few years ago, the Dallas-based operation is thankful for support and positive feedback from their customers and distributors as they continue to grow and shape the alcohol industry.
